MEC Aerial Work Platforms is enjoying strong growth in 2015 with the successful launch and full production of its newest products – the 6092RT Ultra-Deck scissor lift and the 60-J boom lift. Both of these products were engineered to bring something different to the market – a better solution; and that focus is paying off. The 6092RT and 60-J booms expand MEC’s portfolio of innovative products; driving high customer interest, orders and backlog.
The 6092RT Ultra–Deck is the only 60 foot (18.2m) scissor lift made in North America and it does one thing no other rough terrain scissor is capable of: It provides a big deck and a high lift capacity at a 66 ft. (20.2m) working height. At significantly lighter weight than existing 60 ft. (18.2m) scissor products or offerings made in Europe, customers can expect a more favorable acquisition price with higher rental rates than 60 ft. (18.2m) booms, and enjoy significantly better performance and productivity.
In the 60 ft. boom category, MEC met its objective to Build a Better Solution with the 60-J series of booms – Full featured, rugged, simple and reliable. Coming to the market with a fresh design, MEC has been able to meet customer demands for strong performance and productivity at a lower acquisition cost and the higher rental rate of jib machines, with the low machine weight allowing for 2 per truck transport. Further, MEC’s electric 60-J is the only AC electric motor power source on the market delivering quiet, efficient power ideal for both indoor and RT applications without compromising performance. Efficient power sources (diesel, electric, hybrid), 4WD rough terrain performance, 360 degree continuous rotation, oscillating axle, jib, and a large platform all serve to make this one of the most versatile booms on the market.
