34-J Telescopic Boom

MEC Aerial Work Platforms is proud to announce the launch of its newest innovation in boom lifts. Drawing on the success of our micro scissor line, MEC engineers were challenged to develop a better value solution for the thousands of construction jobs that are under 40 feet. The 34-J is enough machine to get the job done, but changes the paradigm on ROI for lower height projects. The smallest telescopic booms available in today’s market offer 46ft working height, which is often more machine than is necessary for the job. MEC is pleased to introduce the new 34-J Diesel Telescopic Boom as a better value solution for construction applications up to 40 feet.

MEC’s 34-J gives 40ft (12.2m) working height with standard 5ft (1.5m) jib for 135-degree range of motion. It is compact and lightweight at just 8,000 lbs (3,639kg) without compromising construction-grade durability. The 34-J can be towed with a full size truck, or three units could fit on a flatbed truck for the lowest delivery cost. It also features a standard 72 inch platform including 3-sided entry with a swing gate. Like all MEC booms the 34-J has ergonomic platform controls with the optional Proactive Platform Safety System® (PPSS) and is designed without a footswitch, giving the operator increased visibility and mobility in the platform. It has powerful 4 wheel drive and positive traction with an oscillating front axle – a true rough terrain construction boom.

MEC’s 34-J diesel telescopic boom is A Better Solution for working up to 40ft (12.2m) height, with all the benefits of a self propelled unit. This newest MEC boom is micro sized, lightweight, full-featured, rugged, simple and reliable all in one. Contact your local MEC dealer to try one.
