2024
MEC is proud to introduce the 85-J Boom. This new boom is a groundbreaking machine by offering both telescopic and articulated modes in one machine.
2023
MEC expands its scissor lift offer by introducing the first machine to replace ladders, the Nano10®-XD. An All-Electric machine that offers 18 feet of working height along with the complete elimination of potential oil spills. MEC also introduced the 3232SE. The new slab scissor lift is a groundbreaking addition to the company product line up and leading the change with the ability to drive at full height – a first in this machine class.
2022
MEC expands its vertical mast offer by introducing the All-Electric 16 Foot Mast (MMAE16). The addition offers 22 feet of working height along with the complete elimination of potential oil spills.
2021
MEC enters the vertical mast lifts market. The MEC Mast Electrics (MME) offer 2 platform heights: the MME20 with a platform height of 20ft and the MME25 with the industry leading platform height of 25ft.
2020
MEC launches its newest innovations in booms with the 34-J Micro boom and in scissors with the patent pending MEC Xtra-Deck® Micro Scissors with the Micro13-XD and Micro19-XD models.
2019
MEC announced the revolutionary patent-approved Leak Containment System® (LCS) for all MEC slab scissor lifts, new Micro 26 slab scissor, expanded and enhanced 69 series RT scissors, and new 45-J and 65-J Diesel booms. US Patent #11,112,060
2018
MEC introduced 2 new products: the 45-AJ Articulated Boom Lift and Micro 19 Scissor Lift. The Micro19 won Rental magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award. MEC released the Proactive Platform Safety System for slab scissors to proactively warn MEC operators of a potential overhead hazard with the goal of collision and entrapment avoidance.
2017
MEC celebrates anniversary of over 40-years and counting by announcing the expansion of its slab scissor line with 4 new models for a full line offering from 13ft to 45 ft platform height, and the start of MEC Parts Direct for full parts offering and expertise for customers of MEC machines.
2016
MEC launched the new electric drive 1330SE and 4555SE slab scissor lifts as introduction to the new slab line. MEC’s Proactive Platform Safety System® (PPSS) for boom lifts won the ALH Safety Innovation award for booms and Gold LLEAP award in the OEM Features or Essential Components category.
2015
MEC released the 60-J Straight Boom Lift with both diesel and electric models. The 60-J Straight Boom Lift was awarded Rental magazine’s 2015 Editor’s Choice Award.
2014
MEC introduced the 6092RT Ultra-Deck as the tallest scissor lift manufactured in North America, which won a Gold LLEAP award.
2013
Introduction of the 4069 ERT, a mid-size scissor lift that provides class-leading RT performance, sheet material loading, and the lowest stowed height in the market segment. This unit won a Silver LLEAP award.
2012
MEC introduced the 60-foot Titan Boom 60-S, adding to the popular specialty boom line. The Atlas Mining Boom, a mining-specific variant of the Titan, was released later that fall.
2011
MEC introduced the industry’s first Crossover electric mid-size rough terrain scissor lifts.
2010
The first MEC Titan Boom 40-S was introduced and won multiple awards in the industry for its revolutionary design with outreach like a boom, large deck like a rough terrain scissor and capacity like a telehandler.
2009
MEC’s first new product innovation, the SpeedLevel® Sigma Lift, was introduced and won a Gold LLEAP award in the Aerial Lift category.
2004
CMEC was formed to build on the MEC legacy, producing the range of scissor lifts designs acquired from Mayville Engineering.
2002
The Aerial Work Platform Division of MEC was acquired by owners of Equipment Parts Wholesale and moved to California.
1976
MEC established a reputation for designing and manufacturing a high-quality range of scissor lifts, based in Mayville, Wisconsin. MEC also pioneered the pothole protection system, now used by all manufacturers on slab machines.
