MEC’s Aerial Work Platform Division was acquired by Equipment Parts Wholesale and relocated to California.
2004

California Manufacturing & Engineering Company (CMEC) was formed to continue MEC’s legacy, manufacturing scissor lifts from designs acquired from Mayville Engineering.
2010

Launched the Titan Boom 40-S: multiple award winner for its innovative hybrid of boom reach, deck space, and telehandler capacity.
2011

Released the industry’s first electric crossover mid-size rough terrain scissor lifts.

Added the Titan Boom 60-S to its specialty boom line, followed by the Atlas Mining Boom variant.

Introduced the 4069 ERT mid-size RT scissor with the lowest stowed height in its class and won the Silver LLEAP award.

- Released the 60-J Straight Boom (diesel and electric) — Rental magazine Editor’s Choice Award winner.

- Introduced electric drive slab scissors: 1330SE and 4555SE.
- MEC’s Proactive Platform Safety System® (PPSS) for boom lifts won ALH Safety Innovation and Gold LLEAP awards.
2017
- Celebrated over 40 years with an expanded slab scissor line ranging in 13 to 45 ft platform heights.
- Launched MEC Parts Direct to support customers with full parts access and expertise.
2018
- Released 45-AJ Articulated Boom and Micro 19 Scissor, Rental magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award winner.
- Launched the PPSS® for slab scissors to help prevent overhead collisions and entrapment.
2019
- Announced the patent-approved Leak Containment System® (LCS) for all MEC slab scissors.
- Released Micro 26 scissor lift, expanded 69-series RT scissors, and introduced 45-J and 65-J Diesel Booms. (U.S. Patent #11,112,060)

Introduced the 34-J Micro Boom and Micro13-XD / Micro19-XD scissors with MEC’s Xtra-Deck® platform.

Entered the vertical mast market with MME20 (20 ft) and MME25 (25 ft), the latter featuring an industry-leading platform height.
