Lifting Equipment Manufacturers Recognized for Innovation

Judged by industry professionals, 10 products claim 2009 LLEAP Awards

 

 

FORT DODGE, IOWA, October 16, 2009 – The Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Access Platforms (LLEAP) Awards, presented by Lift and Access magazine, pay homage to innovative products introduced between April 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009. Judged by a group of eight experts in the crane, aerial lift, and material-handling fields as well as the Lift and Access editorial staff, 25 products in five categories were scored based on their innovation, influence, leadership, and benefits. These categories include aerial lifts; material handlers; cranes; OEM features/essential components for OEMs; and aftermarket support products & services.

 

Ten products received Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards in their respective categories. A summary of the winners follows.

 

Platinum

  • Arnco ecofil Flatproofing Tire Fill (Support Products & Services)

 

Gold

  • MEC 84ES Speed Level Sigma Lift (Aerial Lift)

  • Perkins 1200 Series Engines (OEM Features/Essential Components for OEMs)

Silver           

  • MEC 91ES Large Scissor Lift (Aerial Lift)
  • Pettibone 1530 Extendo Telehandler (Material Handlers)
  • Iowa Mold Tooling (IMT) Knuckleboom Line (Crane)
  • Liebherr LICCON2 Control System (OEM Features/Essential Components for OEMs)
  • The Crosby Group Split Nut Retention System (Aftermarket Support Products & Services)

 

Finalists in each category also were recognized for their innovative products, including the Genie Industries GRC-12 Runabout Contractor vertical lift and S-80/85 telescopic boom lifts, Aichi SV3246C scissor lift and SR460CJ crawler boom lift, Skyjack SJ 46AJ articulating boom lift, JLG 723A compact telehandler, Load Lifter 842-G telehandler, Gehl RS10-44 telehandler, Elliott 50105 boom truck, Rayco-Wylie i3500 rated capacity indicator, Dana 60-foot boom lift drivetrain, DeltaTech Controls AWP and utility truck controls, Genie Industries 360° service and support program, Tiresocks SafetyPads, and Kar-Tech Ranger System controls.
